Without a doubt one of the best WISP features that NePoint's NPPRO has is its dual functionality that can be used with connectorized radios as well as with Twist-on solutions from Mimosa Networks, which allows for an infrastructure update or backup.
NPPRO results with AF5XHD
In the community of Ixtacamaxtitlán in Puebla, the NPPRO antenna connected with the twinwaves adapter was used to create a backhaul link at a distance of 10 km using the Airfiber 5 XHD radio from ubiquiti. Although it is known that the NPPRO antenna is compatible with the C5X radio, it was decided to make a link with a connectorized radio taking advantage of the fact that the NPPRO antenna has a double functionality to work with a jumper. One of the features with which this antenna can be used is that it maintains quick installation and easy maintenance of the waveguide as well as the antenna.
In this backhaul type installation, a signal level of less -33 dBm was obtained with modulations of up to 10X, in low power, as well as the capacity of 729/358 Mbps with a capacity of 1088 Mbps, obtaining a viability of 99.6% in a channel width of 80 MHz with a noise floor of less -90 dbm.
