
To correctly align a NetPoint antenna, it is key to understand how satellite dishes radiate: main lobe, beamwidth, secondary lobe and null signal.
The main lobe is the main area where we are going to position our antennas: it is the point of greatest efficiency and greatest capacity.
The null signal is spaces without radiated energy, between the main and secondary lobes: this is where you sometimes lose the signal when aligning.
Secondary lobes are energy escapes from the main lobe and all antennas have them.
When aligning, look for the maximum in the main lobe and do not settle on a secondary lobe or a null between the two.
