Internet Challenge in Bogotá
In Bogotá, Colombia, WAO Internet faces the challenge of providing low-latency, high-capacity internet services in the Colombian capital. To leverage the flexibility of their NetPoint antenna infrastructure, the company has installed Cambium Networks' Force 4600c radios operating in the 6 GHz band, paired with NetPoint NPX5-HP-2FT (NPX1GEN3) antennas. These installations serve subscriber links at distances ranging from 7 to 9 miles, achieving promising results in the 5885 MHz unlicensed band despite high interference levels. The deployment has reached 1024 QAM modulation and a signal level of -43 dBm, enabling the provision of 600 Mbps service for banking institutions and reaching up to 1034 Mbps of internet service. This approach maximizes the use of their existing deployments, setting a new standard for internet service in the region.
