To take advantage of the higher capacity in backhaul projects at distances from 0 to 100 km, the NetPoint´s NP6-DP-3FT antenna and the Cambium Force 4600c radio were used to transmit at 43.17 km the capacity of 625 Mbps / 1015 Mbps in a firmware in test mode to jointly release the solution at 6 GHz for medium and long distances.
The first thing to consider is the antenna, you can use an antenna of the models:
NPXGEN3 (4.9 - 6.4 GHz) with a maximum cap of 6600 MHz, but you have to be well aligned.
In case you are looking to use the 5.9 - 7.2 GHz range, you have to use a NP6 model and validate your configuration.
Regarding the configuration of the radio force 4600c, you must use the TDD mode which can take it over longer distances than the ePTP mode which can reach up to 32 km. The alignment will be your ally and above all modulate your packets well.
NP6 distance up to:
60 Mi
Capacity up to
2GB
TDD mode
+ 20 Mi
ePTP mode
- 20 Mi
The stability of work in the bands is undoubtedly something important that will be present in the NP6 antenna models thanks to its isolation between chains that will prevent the generation of additional noise in the wireless links at 6 GHz.
The NP6 antenna will be a distinguished member of the new 6 GHz antenna family, featuring an even deeper design with excellent wind resistance, as well as 2 pluses to improve link quality 1.- Stiff arm, so you can choose to secure your link. Radome or cap to protect the waveguide from atmospheric conditions to ensure better link performance.
Why make a more concave design, our engineering and development team found a balance between real gain and noise mitigation without attenuation which makes NP6 more than a before and/or after NetPoint but a specialized product for high impact backhaul not only for WISP, FISP and ISP but for improving communications and bridging the digital divide.
